Manager/Sr Manager - CPU Architecture and Performance Modeling THE ROLE: As member of CPU Architecture and Performance Modeling team you will be working on defining and evaluating the architecture of AMD’s next generation processors. You will be part of highly experienced and talented team of engineers working on processor performance modeling and microarchitecture development and will work closely with AMD's CPU and SOC performance architects. THE PERSON: The person will be responsible for managing part of AMD’s highly experienced and talented team of engineers working on microarchitecture development and processor performance modeling. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: Strong knowledge of computer architecture and good experience working with and developing microarchitectural timing simulators and C++ programming. Experience managing a midsize team (minimum 5 people) for at least 2 years. The candidate should have experience in all aspects of people management, including task management, appraisals, one-on-ones, career management, hiring, and growth. The person will be managing part of the team whose work involves 1. Exploring microarchitectural ideas and evaluating them for AMD’s future processors 2. Modeling various micro-architectural features on a simulator and evaluating their performance. 3. Developing tests to measure performance on simulator, actual hardware and RTL design 4.
