Role Summary

The Sr Sales Officer will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth within the assigned territory by managing both distributor and retail relationships. This role requires strategic execution of sales plans, leadership in the field, and mentoring of junior sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed primary and secondary sales targets across the assigned territory
  • Identify, appoint, and nurture relationships with distributors and key retail partners
  • Plan and execute effective route and beat plans to maximize market coverage
  • Lead product promotions, merchandising, and in-store visibility initiatives
  • Support and mentor junior sales representatives to improve team performance
  • Monitor stock levels, credit collection, and sales pipeline management
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports and market insights to management
  • Analyze competitor activities and adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage

Candidate Profile

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in FMCG sales, preferably in beverages, snacks, or hygiene sectors
  • Proven ability to manage distribution networks and retail partnerships
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales data tracking and reporting
  • Willingness to work extensively in the field and travel within the territory
