Role & responsibilities

  • Procurement of raw materials (scrap, ferro alloys, electrodes, fluxes).
  • Purchasing of critical spares & consumables for Electrotherm and Inductotherm furnaces (refractories, coils, cables, hydraulics, cooling systems, etc.).
  • Vendor identification, development, and negotiation for best pricing and quality.
  • Effective inventory management in SAP to avoid stock-outs or excess holding.
  • Coordination with Production, Maintenance, and Stores teams for planning requirements.
  • Preparation of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor documentation in SAP.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring quality compliance.
  • Regular MIS reports, budgeting, and cost optimization.
