When something bends, you roll forward/back fast, document the fix, and make the next cycle calmer. “Works on my laptop” isn’t your style—your laptopmirrors prodwith seeded files, contract checks, and repeatable jobs.Mission:Make commissionscorrect and on time—every cycle, with clear audits.Outcomes (12 months)Accuracy:≥99.9%calc accuracy on priority plans;0 Sev‑1payroll misses.Speed:New/changed plans from signed design → prod in≤ 4 weeks; minor CRs in≤ 3 days.Data quality:Automated checks cover≥95%of inbound records; reject rate trending down quarter over quarter.Reconciliation:VariancebyT+1of payroll; disputes resolved within SLA.Documentation:100% coverage of plans, crediting, rate tables, data mappings, and runbooks.What you’ll doImplement & configureSAP Commissions (CallidusCloud): plans, crediting rules, rate tables, quotas, calendars, territories/positions, hierarchies, and effective‑dating/versioning.Build/operateData Loaderjobs and integration pipelines fromCRM/ERP(Salesforce, SAP, Oracle); design mappings, dedupe/identity resolution, and load schedules.Translate U.S. sales comp models (accelerators, draws, caps, guarantees, ramps, overrides, SPIFs, quota attainment) into precise system logic.Createunit/system tests, perform end‑to‑endUATwith masked data, and validate results against back‑of‑the‑envelope math.Ownreconciliationsto payroll outputs; investigate variances withSQLand source data trails.Configure statements/reports, disputes/adjustments, and support enhancement cycles.Keeptechnical docstidy: configuration specs, data dictionaries, test cases, and runbooks.How you’ll (sensibly) use GenAI & modern toolsUseCursor/Copilotto draft SQL, generateedge‑case test data, and scaffold documentation—thenverifyevery result.Use scripts/notebooks to sanity‑check rate tables, tiers, and crediting with quick visualizations.How we work (principles)Contracts before config.Lock plan logic & data contracts before loading.Mirror prod safely.Masked prod‑like data in UAT; repeatable jobs; no “works on my laptop.”Auditability over mystery.Every payout is explainable; logs and version history matter.Horses for courses.Spreadsheets for discovery, configs for production, SQL for truth.Small changes, fast feedback.Short cycles beat big‑bangs.Required qualifications3–8 yearshands‑on withSAP Commissions (CallidusCloud)configuration and data validation.Strong grasp ofU.S. sales compensationmodels (base + variable, accelerators, draws, caps, overrides, SPIFs, quota/attainment, territory‑based incentives).Proficiency inSQLfor analysis and troubleshooting; comfort with Data Loader and reporting modules.Experience validating CRM/ERP feeds and end‑to‑end data flows; high attention to detail; self‑directed delivery.Nice to haveExposure to payroll cycles, SOX/controls, dispute workflows, and audit requirements.Familiarity with Salesforce data model, SAP/Oracle ERP feeds, ETL tools, or a cloud data warehouse.Scripting (Python) for data prep; dashboarding (Looker Studio/Tableau/Power BI).We are supporting asister concernthrough agroom‑and‑placeengagement.
