Job Description :
Compass Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile App Developer specializing in Android development to join our team in Washington State, USA. As a Mobile App Developer (Android), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that meet our clients' needs and specifications. You will work closely with our design, back-end, and QA teams to deliver polished and user-friendly mobile :
- Design and develop native Android applications for smartphones and tablets using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Work closely with designers to implement pixel-perfect UI/UX designs.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mobile App Developer (Android) or similar role.
- Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.
- Strong understanding of Android UI/UX guidelines and best practices.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Familiarity with mobile app deployment process and Google Play Store guidelines.
- Knowledge of cross-platform development tools such as React Native or Flutter.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
