Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the fintech sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software testing with specific skills in automation frameworks and JavaScript/Java. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a startup or fintech environment and three to five years in automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript/Java and Playwright/Cypress.io / Selenium.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet product needs.
- Monitor debugging process results and investigate the causes of bugs.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks that can be used across multiple projects.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
-Coordinate with PM /Tech and understand the gap and plan test strategy for execution.
-Actively work closely with senior developers and understand the upcoming tasks and plan QA activities
-Keep a constant check on the customer experience breakages and provide necessary inputs
-Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
-Managing the final quality of the product releases.
-Communicate design and test impact based on business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a startup or fintech environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in QA automation.
- Proficient with JavaScript/Java and Selenium for creating automated tests.
- Strong understanding of web browser technologies, including cookies and storage management.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Proven ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Relational Database Systems (RDS) and database testing.
- Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player and communication skills.
