Job Description :

Experience : 4 + Years.

Location : Bangalore & Mumbai.

Mode : Work From Office.

- Should have minimum 3 Years hands on experience in Oracle Database Patching(Preferably in BFSI).

- Well verse with PSU, OPATCH & Verbose patch methodology.

- Should have sound knowledge on entire Patching cycle, Pre checks & post patching Sanity checks.

- Should have hands on experience on vulnerability assessment & Configuration Audit(VACA).

- Validate status of patches applied / pending monthly / quarterly basis.

- Preparation of Database patching Report, Highlight failed patches with dependencies.

- Roll back patches in case the system is not working post patching.

- Preparing RCA for Sev-1 Incidents caused by patching.

- DB Inventory management.

Required Skills :


- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle database patching, preferably in the BFSI domain.


- Expertise in PSU, OPATCH, and Verbose patch methodologies.


- Thorough knowledge of the entire patching cycle, including pre-checks and post-patching validation.


- Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and identifying security risks. Proficiency in configuration audits to ensure compliance with security standards.


- Ability to prepare detailed database patching reports, including failed patches and dependencies.


- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve patching issues.


- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for severe incidents.


- Knowledge of database inventory management practices.


Preferred Skills :


- Experience with Oracle Data Guard and RAC configurations.


- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.


- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Python).


- Certification in Oracle Database Administration.
