Database Administrator Job Description

At Visionyle Solutions, we are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and maintain our SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration and be proficient in installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

- Database Installation: Set up and configure SQL Server environments to ensure seamless database operations.

- Configuration: Configure SQL Server instances for high availability, security, and scalability to meet the needs of our business.

- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and facilitate smooth recovery in case of data loss.

- High Availability (Always On): Implement and manage Always On Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery to minimize downtime and data loss.

- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize query performance, troubleshoot slow queries, and ensure databases run efficiently to meet business needs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.

- Proficiency in installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server.

- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.

- Strong knowledge of high availability solutions, particularly Always On Availability Groups.

- Expertise in performance tuning to optimize database performance.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work efficiently under pressure.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
