Job Summary


Join the CADFEM Internship Program, combined with a pre-placement offer, to apply your education to real-world engineering problems, advance your career skills, and gain work experience at CADFEM. This position is part of our Customer Excellence team focused on the exciting growth area of Optics.


You will use Ansys products to create and apply Ansys simulation solutions in a variety of optics-related industries viz. Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Consumer Products etc. You will be part of our vibrant technical community working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact


Essential Functions:


  • Develop technical expertise in the Ansys Optics product: Speos
  • Create new simulation methodologies, troubleshoot problem set-ups, run simulation benchmarks, and update industry best practices pertaining to modelling and simulation of engineered products & processes.
  • On an as-needed basis, support the team by conducting demonstrations, webinars, online training, and other meetings. Offering recommendations and best practices on the simulation of various optical applications.
  • Network within the Ansys Customer Excellence team to learn various job functions such as pre-sales support, post-sales technical support, consulting services, etc.


Desired Candidate Profile:


  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Optical sciences, Opto-Mechanical or Engineering field
  • Passion for optics and optical design research and development.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one major CAD platform (Solidworks, Creo, NX, Catia)
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one major CAE simulation software e.g. Ansys
  • Programming experience with Matlab, Python, C++ or C# would be a plus
  • Engaging personality, engineering curiosity and willingness for continuous learning
