Who we are:We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.Job Purpose: The Production Planning & Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production processes, documentation, schedules, and resource planning to ensure seamless operations and adherence to quality and safety standards. The role requires a strong hands-on approach in manufacturing process control, risk mitigation, and continual improvement.Key Responsibilities: Process & Documentation Management Create, update, and maintainProduction Procedures, Process Standards, Documentation, and Flow Diagrams . Develop and manageProduction Plansaligned with organizational goals and delivery targets. Maintain and trackRoute Cards, production records, and drawingsto ensure workflow transparency and process traceability. Tools & Resource Management Monitor and maintaininventory of tools, jigs, and fixtures , ensuring availability and readiness for production. Ensureefficient utilization of workforce, machines, and resourcesto achieve operational efficiency. Risk & Performance Management ImplementRisk MatrixandSkill Matrixfor resource optimization and risk mitigation. ConductRisk Analysisand preparemitigation plansfor identified risks. Track, monitor, and reportKPIsto evaluate production efficiency and performance. Maintenance & Continual Improvement Maintain records ofpreventative and breakdown maintenance activities . Drive and trackcontinual improvement initiatives (Kaizen)to enhance productivity and reduce inefficiencies. Production Planning & Scheduling Plan, optimize, and executeproduction schedulesbased on business priorities and capacity availability. Ensure compliance withFOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention processesacross production areas. Quality & Compliance Ensure all processes align withAS9100D standardsto support aerospace-grade quality and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality compliance and support audits. ERP & System Management Utilize and maintain familiarity withOracle NetSuite ERPfor production planning, resource allocation, and record management.Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree inMechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineeringor related field. 5–8 years of experiencein production planning, manufacturing process engineering, or industrial engineering. Experience inproduction planning, manufacturing process engineering, or industrial engineering . Knowledge ofAS9100D / aerospace standardspreferred. Experience withERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred) . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in reading and interpretingtechnical drawings and process documents . Hands-on knowledge ofLean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvementconcepts.
