At LTX- LaunchTrax we build Next Gen Mission Systems for defense and aerospace customers.
We work on customer applications in the field of mission planning, terrain visualisation and
decision support systems and use a variety of technologies in 3D Geospatial, Image Processing,
Extended Reality and various MIL standards to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers.
Every single mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, India's Missile Test Range, Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur and the Flight Test Centre (FTC) in India uses software developed by Engineers at LaunchTrax for better mission readiness.
Job Description:
·      Delivers control and movement to characters, creatures, objects, scenery and environment displayed within electronic games, websites or software products.
·      Applies knowledge and uses technical process ability in techniques such as rigging and skinning, kinetics and basic cinematography.
·      Collaborates with programmers and artists to balance seamless movements and optimized performance on the target platform.
·      Applies developed skills, knowledge and proficiency in animation packages, such as 3ds Max, Maya, Substance, Unity, Unreal to develop work product.
Requirements:
·      An accomplished animator with 4+ years of experience within the game industry, with 2+ years of experience as a Senior/Lead Animator.
·      Proficiency with Blender, Motion Builder, Maya, or other 3D software packages.
·      Knowledge of game engines(Unreal, Unity) and production management tools.
·      A proven understanding of body mechanics and physicality for creature and animal movement.
·      An understanding of rigs and typical rigging set-ups, animation pipelines and transferring data between tools.
·      Aesthetic sense and in-depth understanding of movement in space.
·      Deep technical knowledge of modern animation pipelines, workflows, and techniques for video game development.
Responsibilities:
·      Lead and mentor a team of artists, ensuring that each has clear, concrete tasks, goals, and regular constructive feedback.
·      Utilize Blender to produce keyframe and/or motion capture animation that will be used as a
quality benchmark for a team of animators.
·      Partner closely with producers in helping delegate tasks, plan estimates, and arrange meetings as needed to ensure individuals' workloads are manageable and the team's deliverables can be completed on schedule.
·      Work with clients in upholding their artistic vision and ensuring outgoing work is technically sound and meets technical standards.
·      Partner with Tech Art and Engineering throughout development to ensure assets are functionally sound and optimized for engine/platform constraints.
·      Help continues to expand the capabilities of the Animation team through training, team building, refinements of process and techniques, and candidate recruiting and hiring.
·      Explore opportunities to technically innovate, streamline tools and processes, and champion best practices for the team.
·      Engage in technical and aesthetic problem-solving efforts through to completion.
·      Be proactive about elevating your team's concerns to the larger team and
·      making sure that your discipline is well represented.
·      Help work with recruiting exceptionally talented artists onto a team and helping them to learn and grow through mentorship and coaching.

We are looking for candidates with:
·      Good knowledge in particle animations.
·      Good knowledge in any 3D softwares like 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D, Maya or Blender.
·      Excellent animation knowledge using animation principles.
·      Good knowledge in Unity/Unreal game engine.
·      Good communication skills.
·      Graduate in relevant field.
·      Ability to acquire knowledge in new tools and software when required.
·      Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art assets.
