Trading System Engineer at Thinkbot Research, Bangalore
Thinkbot Research is seeking a skilled Trading System Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. We leverage cutting-edge quantitative research and automation to navigate the financial markets. In this role, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our high-frequency trading systems, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy automated trading and post-trading systems using Python and shell scripting.- Monitor and maintain the health of our trading infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues.- Automate the startup and shutdown of our proprietary trading systems across various exchanges and asset classes.- Fine-tune Linux servers to achieve optimal performance and stability for our trading applications.- Collaborate with the quantitative research team to implement their strategies into production systems.- Effectively communicate system status and potential issues to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience.- Freshers and 1 to 2 years of experience in developing and deploying automated trading systems or related financial technology.- Strong proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and Linux administration.- Experience with financial data analysis and quantitative modeling (a plus).- Solid understanding of financial markets and trading concepts.- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- A passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest technological advancements.
