Job Description:  As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our client base across geographies. A minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in mutual fund sales, is preferable, however, if you have vast experience in dealing with potential clients and a proven track record of converting them into your long-term business clients, you might be the right candidate. You will play a pivotal role in implementing strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition:  Identify and target prospective clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate entities, and institutional investors.
  • Relationship Management:  Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Product Promotion:  Educate clients on the benefits of mutual fund investments and promote our product offerings through effective presentations and seminars.
  • Market Research:  Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide insights for business development strategies.
  • Sales Strategy:  Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Team Collaboration:  Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, distribution, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Performance Tracking:  Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance Adherence:  Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all client interactions and sales activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in financial services, or any other client servicing industry with a proven track record in sales conversion, and client satisfaction.
  • A strong understanding of mutual fund products, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks is preferable. Still, an aptitude to learn the subject if you are from a different industry will also be welcomed. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proactive attitude with a results-driven approach to achieving targets.
  • Certification such as AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) or NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) would be advantageous.
