Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Freight Brokerage

Location: Remote (Canada-based)

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Base Salary + Performance-Based Incentives

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our sales efforts—identifying potential clients, reaching out to decision-makers, qualifying opportunities, and building long-term relationships to convert prospects into loyal customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and email campaigns to targeted shippers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their shipping needs, pain points, and decision-making process.
  • Nurture leads through consistent follow-up, sharing relevant information and keeping our company name top-of-mind until they are ready to move forward.
  • Book meetings for our account executives and sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and lead status in the excel sheet.
  • Meet and exceed weekly/monthly outreach, follow-up, and lead qualification targets.
  • Represent our company professionally and communicate our value proposition clearly.

Qualifications

  • 2-3years logistics experience required – we provide full training.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and social media outreach.
  • Persistent and disciplined in lead follow-up and relationship-building.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and resilient.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
