This role is primarily responsible for integrating and managing data sources into Splunk using Splunk PowerConnect and ensuring seamless data ingestion, processing, and reporting. Expertise in configuring and optimizing data connections between Splunk and various external systems. Responsibilities: • Data Integration: o Use Splunk PowerConnect to integrate data from various sources such as relational databases, cloud services, applications, and other enterprise systems into the Splunk platform. o Configure and optimize Splunk forwarders, inputs, and data connections for maximum efficiency. • Data Processing and Transformation: o Perform data mapping, transformation, and enrichment to ensure that incoming data is properly structured and optimized for analysis. o Configure and manage Splunk‘s field extractions, lookups, and CIM (Common Information Model) to ensure data consistency and usability across different sources. • Monitoring and Optimization: o Continuously monitor the health and performance of data inputs, connections, and integrations. o Troubleshoot and resolve data ingestion or connection issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. • Ability to troubleshoot complex data ingestion issues and optimize performance.
