Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP PS (Project Systems) Consultant to join our team, supporting the Capital & Wells Engineering area within the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Project System solutions to our clients.

Primary Skills:

  • In-depth experience in the SAP Project System module with a focus on development capabilities.
  • Proficient in translating business/process requirements into technical requirements.
  • Extensive SAP configurations experience ensuring adherence to build standards and best practices.
  • Strong integration knowledge with cross-functional areas including PM, HR, FI, CO, MM, SD, and BW.
  • Capable of understanding and developing IT solutions by collaborating with Process Architects and Design Authorities.
  • Experience in creating technical design specifications for solutions with high complexity.
  • Proficiency in performing Unit Testing, supporting Integration Testing, and driving the resolution of defects.
  • Knowledge of SAP Investment Management, Human Resource, and Finance modules.

Secondary Skills:

  • ABAP knowledge, including Tables, Functional Modules, IDOCs, Batch Job Management, BI & BW reports, Fiori Time writing, and Query Development.
  • Familiarity with market-standard solutions such as Concur, Ariba, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Ability to lead design workshops to map business requirements for SAP Project System and Investment Management.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform feasibility studies and process design reviews.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering end-to-end project system solutions, from analysis to implementation, while adhering to SAP configurations and build standards.
  • Engaging in the entire project lifecycle, including preparation, conceptualization, realization, and Go Live stages.
  • Coaching and advising Application Delivery Analysts and supporting Managed Services on complex issues.
  • Undertaking problem analysis, identifying root causes of incidents, and working towards minimizing future occurrences.
  • Ensuring robust, supportable, and scalable IT solutions and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
  • Proposing functional improvements to existing solutions and maintaining adherence to Group and Upstream IT standards and processes.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of experience in SAP Project System, including at least 5 years in SAP Investment Management.
  • A minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP implementations with hands-on design or configuration involvement.
  • Excellent knowledge of integration between SAP Project System and SAP PM/HR/FI/CO/MM/SD/BW modules.
  • Prior experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas and/or Manufacturing industries with a good understanding of related business processes.
  • SAP Certifications in the Project System area or S4 HANA Professional area would be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with only support/testing experience or majority of support/testing experience will not be suitable for this role.
