Purpose:

The Quality Director for Product Engineering will be responsible for ensuring process assurance and compliance throughout the product development lifecycle. This role requires a strong background in technology and prior experience in software engineering, along with familiarity with current technology platforms.



Key Responsibilities:

Process Assurance and Compliance: Oversee and enforce quality processes and standards

throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and

regulatory requirements.

Technology Background: Utilize a strong technology background to navigate and leverage

current technology platforms relevant to product engineering.

Review and Inspection: Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of product backlogs,

engineering roadmaps, sprint plans, and release trains to identify and mitigate potential quality

issues while ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Agile Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies, collaborating closely with Agile

teams to seamlessly integrate quality practices into development processes.

KPIs and Metrics Design: Define and implement clear KPIs and metrics to measure and improve

product reliability, performance, and quality outcomes effectively.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights

and stakeholder feedback to enhance product quality, reliability, and performance.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration across cross-functional teams,

including product managers, engineers, designers, and QA teams, to align quality objectives with

business goals and customer expectations.


Qualifications:

● Proven experience in process assurance and compliance in product engineering or software

development environments.

● Strong technology background with prior software engineering experience, including deep

understanding of current technology platforms and trends.

● Expertise in conducting reviews and inspections of product artifacts (e.g., backlogs, roadmaps,

sprint plans, release trains).

● Proficiency in Agile methodologies, hands-on experience in Agile practices and frameworks.

● Ability to design and implement effective KPIs and metrics to measure product reliability,

performance, and quality.


Soft skill expectations:

 Good management skills to effectively manage Quality team

 Ability to maturely interact and communicate with leadership teams

 Ability to train and guide Quality team. Set directions and guide team to meet goals. Ensure unit& expectations from quality team (goals) are met.

 Create presentations and conduct training on quality to internal stakeholders / customers
