Job Title: Senior Controls & Industrial Automation Engineer / Trainer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Controls & Industrial Automation Engineer (Trainer) with 10+ years of hands-on expertise in designing, programming, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems for manufacturing and industrial environments. This role involves training teams , optimizing processes , and ensuring system reliability and compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based automation systems.
  • Lead and mentor teams on control system design, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop training modules for PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.), motion control, and robotics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and process improvements.
  • Perform system commissioning, testing, and validation at customer sites or remotely.
  • Optimize system performance and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, electrical codes, and industry standards.
  • Document technical procedures, SOPs, and training materials for internal and client use.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and control systems design.
  • Strong expertise in Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or Mitsubishi PLC platforms.
  • Experience with motion control, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Hands-on knowledge of robotics integration and control system troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with electrical panel design, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and training skills.
  • Good knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and data-driven manufacturing systems is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in leading projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to safety systems (SIL, IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring engineers/technicians.
