Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled challenge driven Data Engineer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in helping us manage our vast inventory, streamline our operations, and create data-driven strategies to enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in data management, inventory forecasting, automation, and analytics, and will help drive our growth by ensuring that our data infrastructure supports real-time decision-making and operational efficiency. This candidate will be the first hire in this role and department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Centralization: Consolidate and manage large datasets related to SKUs, pricing, inventory, and customer information across multiple product lines.
  • Inventory Optimization: Develop models to forecast demand, track stock levels, and set automated stock level alerts.
  • Project Tracking: Build systems to monitor the progress and material needs of different real estate projects, providing real-time insights into supply requirements.
  • Pricing & Profitability Analysis: Create dynamic pricing models to balance between premium (Geberit) and affordable (Astral) products, while conducting profitability analysis for different SKUs and projects.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive tasks such as sales report generation, order management, and inventory tracking to improve efficiency.
  • Customer Insights: Analyze customer purchasing patterns to provide targeted recommendations, drive customer retention, and segment customers based on their needs.
  • Data Integration: Work on integrating data systems with potential future facility management solutions for high-net-worth clients.
  • Visualization: Develop dashboards for sales, stock levels, project statuses, and other KPIs to provide actionable insights for management.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and database management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and forecasting in a distribution or supply chain environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and present data insights to stakeholders.
