Position: Fundraising Associate

Location: Chennai

Job Description


Seeking a seasoned fundraiser to join its tightknit team. In this role the fundraiser will use expert communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities develop relationships with potential donors and manage fundraising campaigns. By coordinating events writing proposals and recruiting and leading volunteers the fundraiser will hone speaking writing and leadership abilities while moving the organization closer to its financial goals.


  • Research potential donors: Research individuals corporations and foundations that may be interested in donating
  • Communicate the organizations mission: Convey the organizations mission vision and programs to potential donors
  • Develop fundraising strategies: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to raise funds for the organization
  • Manage relationships with donors: Develop and maintain relationships with donors
  • Plan events: Organize fundraising events and oversee teams of volunteers
  • Write proposals: Write grant applications and fundraising proposals
  • Analyze results: Analyze the results of fundraising campaigns
  • Create promotional materials: Design promotional materials to increase awareness of the organizations work
  • Track donations: Account for and track donations
  • Create financial reports: Create and maintain financial reports


Required skills and qualifications


  • At least three years of experience in fundraising or marketing
  • Exceptional communication and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion for research
  • Ability to successfully balance priorities while managing multiple tasks and planning big events

1. Should be at least educated up to 8th standard with good knowledge of the local community and local language. 2. Preference will be given individuals from TG/MSM/PLHIV community. 3. Strong communication and facilitation skills 4. Ability to read and write in local language Require to travel to the project areas for providing services for at least 5 days in a month.
