Contract Type: Contract/ConsultantLocation: RemoteClient: Leading Canadian EnterpriseWork Schedule: Eastern Time Zone (5:00 PM - 1:00 AM IST)About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with a premier Canadian client. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of enterprise-scale data solutions and ETL pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in automated testing, data validation, and cloud-based data platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute comprehensive test strategies for data pipelines and ETL processesDevelop and maintain automated testing frameworks for data applications using industry-standard toolsValidate data accuracy, integrity, and transformations across enterprise data platformsCollaborate with data engineering teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecyclePerform SQL-based database testing and data validationConduct performance testing for large-scale data systemsImplement continuous improvement initiatives for testing processesTrack and manage defects through resolutionRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in software quality engineering3+ years of experience testing enterprise data systems and ETL processesStrong hands-on experience with: Py Spark for data processing and testingDBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation testingETL automation and validationAutomated testing frameworks (Pytest, API automation tools)Proficiency in SQL and Python for test automationExperience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow or similar)Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills for cross-functional collaborationPreferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Azure Fabric or Azure Data FactoryKnowledge of event-driven streaming platforms (Kafka, Event Hubs)Performance testing experience with JMeter or Load RunnerISTQB or relevant quality assurance certificationsExperience with data governance and complianceWhat We OfferOpportunity to work with latest data technologiesCollaboration with a talented international teamExposure to enterprise-scale data solutionsProfessional growth in a dynamic environmentImportant InformationThis is a contract position requiring availability during Eastern Time business hoursCandidates must be comfortable working 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM ISTMust have reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup (Laptop will be provided by Organisation)There will be two rounds of interviews - the first will be conducted virtually, and the second will take place in either Bangalore or Chennai.Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
