About the Role Data Nirvana is seeking a detail-oriented, business-focused Application Tester to help ensure the quality and reliability of our data-driven platforms. This is a non-technical QA role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting inconsistencies, and acting as the voice of the client. As an Application Tester, you'll be responsible for replicating and analyzing issues reported by both internal users and external clients, validating numeric and tabular data, and asking the right questions when things don't make sense. Your role is critical in ensuring we deliver clean, client-ready outputs — without requiring any coding or environment setup.

Key Responsibilities


• Replicate reported issues from clients and internal teams to identify root causes.


• Validate application outputs using Excel to compare, cross-check, and verify data accuracy.


• Use Excel tools (filters, formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) for structured data validation tasks.


• Think like the end user, always questioning unexpected results or inconsistencies.
• Log bugs and anomalies in JIRA or a similar issue-tracking platform with clarity and precision.


• Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to communicate findings and confirm resolutions.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.


• Contribute feedback on feature usability and business logic from a client-representative perspective.

What You Bring


• 1–3 years of experience in application testing, data validation, or QA support.


• Solid Excel proficiency — especially filters, formulas, and lookups.


• Experience using JIRA or equivalent ticketing systems to track and report issues.


• Understanding of Agile methodology and sprint-based workflows.


• Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.


• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and ask "why" when needed.

• No coding, scripting, or automation knowledge required.


• No environment setup or technical server tools.


• No need for deep QA frameworks or load testing tools.

Nice-to-Haves


• Familiarity with browser-based or SaaS applications.


• Experience working alongside customer support or product teams.


• Background in legal tech, business intelligence, or data-heavy platforms.
