Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated L1 Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Security Operations team. The role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts and incidents, while supporting senior engineers in strengthening our security posture. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to build expertise in cybersecurity tools, incident response, and threat analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security events, alerts, and logs from SIEM and other security tools.
  • Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents and escalate as needed.
  • Investigate suspicious activities, phishing attempts, and malware alerts.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and assist in patch management follow-ups.
  • Maintain and update incident response documentation and security reports.
  • Collaborate with IT and senior cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices.
  • Assist in regular audits, compliance checks, and security awareness activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, or related domain.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.) and log analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CCNA Security, etc.) preferred.
