We are looking for a  Regional Accounting Specialist  to support in covering the accounting aspects and needs regarding Dedalus’s activity in Asia region and ANZ. This position will need to direct and monitor daily accounting tasks for several business units; support internal and external reporting processes.

You will play a key role in the financial processes of the business, providing the best service quality to business partners and stakeholders within the agreed service levels.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in completing the Statutory Audited Financial statements of the legal entities within the region (in multiple locations and for multiple countries). Oversee the duties of the accounting team / Financial Shared Service Center ensuring timely production of accounting and financial data. Preparing and Assisting the Group Reporting Package for Group Consolidated financial statements. Gather a deep understanding of the internal processes that impact the production of financial information and liaise with other internal functions for a proper collection of relevant data. Implement accounting systems and processes, wherever required. Support the team in ensuring compliance with group accounting policies and practices. Gather and analyse financial information regarding financial operations. Ensuring the compliance of the Direct and Indirect tax returns of the legal entities within the region including VAT, withholding tax and income tax compliances. Support the team in respecting compliance with local accounting regulations. Liaise with all the external financial and tax consultants within the region. Guide and review the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations prepared by the accounting team / Financial Shared Service Center team. Play a key role in assisting the Country Controller team in several key areas of Controllership responsibilities and collection of information.

Skills and Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification experience in similar roles with minimum 3-5 years of Statutory Audit profile in international context. Degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic background. Understanding of IFRS and experience in preparation or overview of Statutory Financial Statements. Prior experience in a major ERP (Microsoft D365will be a plus). Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Month End/Quarter End Accounting Close experience Strong analytical skills, organization, time management, and curiosity to advance the position. Exercises good judgment and is comfortable working under time constraints and with multiple operating constituents. Financial and business support experience. Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Prior work experience in an Information Technology Services Provider or in a Big Four Accounting Firm will be considered a plus, as would-be prior work experience within a group with multinational subsidiaries.
