Job Description

Automation Analyst for Data Quality Testing for automated Data Production Systems

Automation Analyst- Software Engineer is expected to plan, develop script and manage Comparative Testing and ensuring data quality across dimensions like Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Uniqueness, Timeliness, Validity, Currency, Conformity, Integrity, and Precision, the skillset encompasses a broad range of technical proficiencies, analytical capabilities, and specialized knowledge areas. This comprehensive skillset is crucial for addressing the multifaceted challenges of maintaining high-quality data in automated processes.

Technical Skills:

RPA Platform Expertise: Proficient in leading RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) with the ability to design, develop, and implement RPA solutions.

Database Management: Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies for managing, querying, and manipulating data. Understanding of NoSQL databases can also be beneficial for handling unstructured data.

Data Quality Tools: Familiarity with specialized data quality tools for data profiling, cleansing, and validation. Knowledge of ETL tools and processes for data integration and transformation.

APIs and Integration Techniques: Skills in integrating RPA solutions with various data sources and third-party applications through RESTful APIs, web services (SOAP, REST), and other integration methods.

Analytical Skills:

Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data, identifying issues related to accuracy, completeness, consistency, etc., and applying statistical methods to validate findings.

Quality Assurance Methods: Deep understanding of QA best practices, testing methodologies, and frameworks to ensure the reliability and validity of data within RPA processes.

Data Quality Dimensions Focus:

Accuracy & Precision: Ensure data accuracy and precision through validation checks, error detection mechanisms, and comparative testing against known standards or benchmarks.

Completeness: Ability to identify missing or incomplete data and implement processes to ensure data completeness.

Consistency & Conformity: Skills in ensuring data consistency across systems and conformity to predefined formats and standards.

Uniqueness & Integrity: Techniques to identify and eliminate duplicate data entries, ensuring data uniqueness and integrity, especially in databases and data lakes.

Timeliness & Currency: Ensure data is up-to-date and relevant, implementing checks for data timeliness and currency, especially in time-sensitive applications.

Validity & Conformity: Proficiency in applying rules and criteria to validate data inputs and ensure they conform to specific schemas, formats, or standards.

Additional Skills:

Documentation: Strong documentation skills for creating clear and detailed reports on data quality issues, RPA process designs, and testing outcomes.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT support, to address data quality issues.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends in RPA, data quality management, and emerging technologies in data analytics and automation.

Project Management: Basic project management skills, including task prioritization, timeline management, and the use of project management tools.

An RPA Software Engineer with these skills will be well-equipped to design and implement robust RPA solutions that adhere to high standards of data quality, ensuring that automated processes are reliable, accurate, and effective in supporting business objectives.

Mandatory Skills required:

Experience with RDS / Cloud based RDBMS

Strong SQL skills.

2+ years’ experience in writing automation scripts using Python, Java, VB Script, Power shell, C#.

Hands on experience on RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc. UiPath experience is highly preferred.

Hands on experience using Intelligent Documentation Processing Automation Tools; similar to ABBY

Understanding of workflow-based logic.

Familiarity and experience in using PowerAutomate and Office 365 applications.

Familiarity and experience in using Cloud based ecosystems like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

Important Skills:

Able to design technical specification documents for RPA Projects.

Experience developing and consuming APIs.

Familiar with and experience with Snowflake and SnowSQL

UiPath RPA Developer or similar certifications preferred.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and complex troubleshooting methods both in Production and internal QA environments.

Ability to work through ambiguous situations.

Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to take initiative without always being directed.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize the most critical tasks and projects.

Experience with Agile development methodology.
