Position Overview:
*We are looking for a dedicated Data Governance Specialist to lead a project focused on cleaning up IT assignment group data within ServiceNow, organized by service area and hierarchies.
*The ideal candidate will have strong project management, data governance, and testing skills, along with experience in ServiceNow.
*This role requires effective collaboration with service area owners and the ServiceNow platform team to ensure accurate data mapping, validation, and testing.
*Additionally, the candidate will be involved in testing the features and functionalities of CIO dashboard and providing critical feedback for improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
*Project Leadership: Oversee the cleanup of IT assignment groups in ServiceNow, ensuring categorization by service area and hierarchies.
*Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with service area owners to gather, document, and validate existing assignment groups.
*Data Mapping & Validation: Prepare and share data mappings with service area owners for review and approval.
*Coordination with ServiceNow Team: Work with the ServiceNow platform team to apply the validated updates in the system.
*Documentation: Maintain thorough records of all changes and processes to ensure transparency and traceability.
*Data Governance Compliance: Ensure alignment with overall data governance policies and standards.
*Data Quality Management: Identify and resolve any inconsistencies within the assignment group structure.
*Testing & Feedback: Conduct end-to-end testing of the features and functionalities of CIO dashboard, providing detailed feedback and suggesting improvements.
*Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
Experience:
*Proven background in data governance, project management, and IT service management.
*Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including working with assignment groups, service areas, and hierarchy structures.
*Experience with feature and functionality testing, including test case creation, execution, and feedback documentation.
Skills:
*Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
*Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
*Familiarity with data governance best practices and methodologies.
*Testing and troubleshooting skills for reviewing dashboard performance and providing actionable feedback.
Work Style:
