Senior Specialist - Tax

Role Description:

The Senior Specialist - Tax, as part of the India tax team (based out of Gurgaon) is primarily responsible for direct tax matters of the AT&T affiliates in India. Position will report to India Tax Lead based in Gurgaon. The requirements of the role will include, but are not limited to:-

Review and submissions of all corporate tax filings including corporate income tax return, deferred tax, provisions, withholding tax payments and return, transfer pricing report/certificate, advance tax and allied filings/forms. All these Forms are generally prepared by the tax consultant/Big4. Review and filing of submissions to be made before the tax authorities/Tribunal during audit and litigation. Working closely with AT&T controllers and provide necessary support in smooth closure of the Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Quarterly book close, reconciliation of tax ledgers, etc. Working closely with all external and internal parties including controllers, other AT&T functions, consultants etc for collation of information needed in direct tax matters. Providing inputs/advice from direct tax perspective on queries/proposals received from other business functions like Accounts Payable Team, Billing Team, Controllers etc. Tax reporting to HQ and maintenance of tax records Ad hoc tax projects/assignments as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

Hold a recognized accounting qualification (CA). 4-5 year of post qualification experience. Experience of BIG 4, or large MNC environment, would be added advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, well organized and able to work well within a team but also manage their own workload. Understanding and meeting deadlines is a must, Ability to work to a tight timetable and maintain high quality output is also a must. Working knowledge of MS excel, outlook etc. Pragmatic, thorough and disciplined.
