Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify and document edge cases and potential failure points.
Test Execution:
- Perform manual and automated testing for functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios.
- Validate and verify that the software meets business and user requirements.
Defect Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Work with the development team to resolve issues and perform re-testing as needed.
Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Ensure automation scripts are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless test coverage.
- Provide timely updates and reports on testing progress and quality metrics.
Quality Assurance Best Practices:
- Adhere to and improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, JIRA, or Postman.
- Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
