Involved in the Asian power market for over 30 years, EDF aims to contribute to the ongoing energy demand of a fast-changing and dynamic market, from low carbon electricity production to smart energy services.
Headquartered in Tokyo, the EDF International Division Asia Pacific (ID Asia Pacific) is delivering the EDF Group’s strategy in Asia (excluding China and Central Asian countries) and Pacific areas, in relation to hydroelectricity (including pumped storage and floating solar), thermal, transmission, distribution, hybrid distributed offers for C&I and communities, and innovative solutions related to storage and hydrogen. EDF International Division Asia Pacific relies on two operating assets in Laos (one 1070 MW hydropower asset, jointly owned and operated with Lao and Thai partners) and Vietnam (one 715 MW combined cycle power plant, jointly owned with Japanese partners), several development offices in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and Japan.
Present in India for over 25 years, EDF is a key partner in the country's ambitious energy development and decarbonization program. Through a wide range of projects, EDF Group is active in 3 key low carbon energy sectors in India. EDF Group supports the government in upgrading India’s power distribution network, helping to decarbonize electricity and create smart cities that better serve the population.

Main tasks
Deliver high quality work under guidance of the respective team lead to meet project requirements and at the same time, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the deliverablesSupport Project Finance team in keeping track and completion of the due compliancesSupport Project / Debt Finance team in issuance of Letter of Credits and Bank Guarantees (Bid Bonds & Performance Bank GuaranteesSupport Project / Debt Finance team in managing the compliances under different Credit facility documentsSupport Project / Debt Finance team in meeting the regulatory returns / compliances with respect to the External Commercial BorrowingsCoordinating with different departments internally to meet the various compliance timelinesAssistance in cooperation with and responding to regulatory inquiries and examinationFollowing up on compliance issues with departments, assisting for resolution and advising wherever requiredCollaborate with internal departments to monitor regulations impacting the businessAssist in the entire transaction closure process, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring timely completion of required documentation and regulatory approvalsMaintain excellent communication channels with legal counsel, accountants, and other professionals handling transaction details
Skills and Knowledge
Strong analytical and quantitative skillsAttention to detailExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in multicultural environments and multidisciplinary teamStrong working knowledge of Excel, appetite for developing IT skills (e.g. Power BI)Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiencesBasic understanding of Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in IndiaBasic market knowledge of infrastructure lending and project finance for Indian project loansRelevant experience working in the project finance team of a top-tier investment or commercial bank or specialist advisor, or an asset manager investing in energy or infrastructure, or a renewable energy developer with sizable project portfolio will be preferredGood time management and demonstrated ability to perform under time pressure and to prioritize to handle multiple assignments
