Mechatronics / CAD Design EngineerLocation:MumbaiAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a skilled and detail-orientedMechatronics / CAD Design Engineerto lead the mechanical design and development of precision-engineered systems and products. You will take concepts from initial sketches through to 3D CAD models, prototypes, and production-ready designs — ensuring structural integrity, functionality, and manufacturability.If you enjoy combining creativity with solid engineering principles to bring innovative hardware to life, we’d love to meet you.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and developmechanical assemblies, enclosures, and structural componentsfrom concept to production.Performstructural calculations, weight distribution, and center of gravity assessmentsto ensure design performance.Select appropriatematerials and finishes(e.g., aluminum alloys, carbon fiber, polymers, composites) based on functional and manufacturing requirements.Design and specifyfixtures, fittings, fasteners, and mounting solutions .Create and maintain detailedCAD models and technical drawingsusing SolidWorks, OnShape, or similar 3D CAD tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, systems, manufacturing) to ensure seamless product integration.Optimize designs forprototyping, 3D printing, and fabricationprocesses.Deliver well-finished, production-ready designs that balance form, function, and manufacturabilityRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) inMechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline .Solid foundation inmechanical design principles— including load analysis, tolerance design, and mechanical assemblies.Hands-on experience withSolidWorks, AutoDesk Fusion, OnShape, or equivalent CAD software .Strong understanding ofmaterials, properties, and fabrication methods(metal, composites, polymers).Knowledge ofstructural analysis and centre of gravity considerations .Familiarity withfixtures, fasteners, and mechanical integration techniques .Experience in taking designs fromconcept through prototyping and into production .Excellent attention to detail and ability to produceaesthetically refined, fully finished mechanical designs .Nice to HaveExperience withFEA simulations or lightweight structural design .Exposure to3D printing, CNC machining, or small-batch fabrication .Understanding ofmechatronic systems(integration of mechanical and electronic subsystems).A portfolio demonstratingend-to-end product design projects
