Position: Assistant Manager / Enigneer – Supplier Quality
Location: Chennai
Industry: MNC Engineering Manufacturing
Qualification: BE / BE - Tech / Diploma
Experience : 6 - 12 Years’ Experience in Supplier Quality
Position Summary:
To ensure the quality parts and systems at the supplier end and defect free supplies to the manufacturing team. Ensure the 8D reports are properly closed within the stipulated timeline and implement the proper analysis and necessary corrective actions needs to be initiated at the supplier end.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure the defect free supplies and eliminate the line stoppage at the manufacturing.
Reduce the supplier RPPM by regular review with the supplier and ensure the corrective actions are implemented as per their analysis reports.
Consolidate the supplier quality issues and closing of SNCR’s with the supplier 8D report.
Visit to the suppliers and conduct the process audit based on the 8D reports and monitor the effectiveness of the corrective actions.
Review tool life of the supplier and maintain the records through their tool history card.
Ensure / review of all PPAP documents of all parts and maintain the records.
Conduce the PPAP audit and recommend actions to identify the system gaps and implementation.
Key Accountabilities
Review the supplier RPPM and actions for reduction.
Eliminate the line stoppage by ensuring the defect free supplies to manufacturing.
Support the supplier to Implement the quality systems.
Conduct the process audit in a defined interval and improve their processes.
Implement 4M change and product validation.
Review the 8D report and necessary actions to eliminate the repeated quality issues.
Identify top 10 worst supplier’s details and consolidating the corrective actions & present in the monthly MRM review.
Skills & Competencies
Problem analytical skill at the supplier end.
Familiarity and alignment with QMS standards : Specifically ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Possess good analytical, technical & interpersonal skills coupled with Verbal & Written skills required to be successful in this role.
ISO 9001: 2008 / ISO IATF 16949 system implementation at supplier end.
Problem analysis skill through 8D/A3.
Knowledge on PPAP / APQP documents review.
Diploma with 12 Years / BE / BE - Tech with 8 Years’ Experience in Supplier Quality.
