Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Oracle PaaS Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Oracle Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) administration and possess a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our Oracle PaaS environment.

Responsibilities:

Oracle PaaS Administration:

Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle PaaS services, including but not limited to Oracle Database Cloud Service, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOACS and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the setup, configuration, and management of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle PaaS offerings.

Performance Monitoring:

Implement robust monitoring solutions to track the performance of Oracle PaaS services. Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system efficiency.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce security measures to protect Oracle PaaS environments. Stay abreast of security best practices and industry compliance standards, ensuring a secure and compliant infrastructure.

Backup and Recovery:

Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for Oracle PaaS services. Conduct regular testing of backup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Patch Management:

Stay informed about Oracle Cloud updates, patches, and new releases. Plan and execute patching activities to keep Oracle PaaS environments up-to-date and secure.

Capacity Planning:

Perform capacity planning to anticipate and accommodate growth in Oracle PaaS usage. Scale resources as needed to meet changing business requirements.

Incident Response:

Actively participate in incident response activities. Investigate and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business stakeholders, to understand and address their requirements for Oracle PaaS services.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices related to Oracle PaaS administration.

Continuous Improvement:

Proactively seek opportunities for process optimization and automation within the Oracle PaaS environment. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

8 to 12 years of overall IT experience.

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PaaS administration.

Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and relevant Oracle PaaS certifications is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud offerings and PaaS services.

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
