This is a hybrid role to Chennai Office


As the Lead Delivery & Scrum Master, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery for 2-3 concurrent functional and technology roadmap projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to production release. In this dual role, you will oversee project delivery while embodying the responsibilities of a Scrum Master, driving Agile practices across teams, and ensuring continuous improvement and high performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Lead and manage the delivery of multiple functional and technology roadmap projects using Agile Scrum methodology, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Project Leadership: Take full ownership of project delivery from initiation through to production release, proactively identifying risks, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Servant Leadership: Support the Scrum team through servant leadership, leading by example, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Scrum Master Responsibilities: Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including Release Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand-ups. Ensure teams adhere to Agile/Scrum best practices, values, and principles.
  • Impediment Removal: Actively identify and remove impediments, or guide the team in doing so, by coordinating with appropriate personnel and resources to keep work progressing smoothly.
  • Foster Collaboration: Encourage open discussions, facilitate decision-making, and resolve conflicts to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Transparency & Communication: Act as a communication bridge, providing clear, transparent, and timely updates to stakeholders, and radiating project information through various reporting techniques such as burn-up/down charts, velocity tracking, etc.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams, technical architects, and external partners across multiple time zones to ensure successful, high-quality delivery of large-scale systems with world-class availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Adaptability: Flexibly manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, switching gears as necessary to meet changing priorities and project needs.


Qualifications

  • Strong background in software development, with experience managing Scrum teams of 8+ members.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile Scrum environments.
  • 8+ years of combined experience in software engineering, systems engineering, Scrum Mastery, or technical product/program management.
  • Preferred experience in retail, ecommerce projects.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, web technologies (Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, JVM, etc.), and SOA/distributed application architectures.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects with high availability, scalability, and performance demands.
  • Autonomous project leadership experience across multiple teams with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Strong ability to build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and global partners.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Energetic self-starter with a “go-getter” mentality, driven to achieve results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time.
