The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Python, solid grasp of designpatterns, and proven leadership capabilities. You will be expected to lead technical efforts, mentorjunior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A willingness to learn and work onother technologies—including Java—is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and high-quality Python applications Apply and advocate for software design patterns and engineering best practices Lead end-to-end development efforts including architecture, design, and code reviews Mentor and train junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and high codequality Remain adaptable and open to working with new technologies as required (e.g., Java) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 7+ years of professional experience in Python development Strong understanding of core Python concepts and standard libraries Expertise in applying software design patterns (e.g., Factory, Singleton, Strategy, Observer) Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with backend systems Proficiency with version control systems such as Git Familiarity with IDEs, CI/CD tools, and deployment workflows Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Good to Have Experience with Java and willingness to contribute to Java-based systems Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes Exposure to relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Experience in Agile software development environments Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience Self-driven, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team EXPERIENCE 8-11 Years SKILLS Primary Skill: Open Source Development Sub Skill(s): Open Source Development Additional Skill(s): Python, REST APIs ABOUT THE COMPANY Infogain is a human-centered digital platform and software engineering company based out of Silicon Valley.
