Job Description :


- Understanding of mainframe (IMS, TSO, DB2 tables, read/update JCL)

- Strong experience on mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, DB2 Stored procedures, SORT, SPUFI, QMF, IBM Scripting, MQ series.

- Data Manipulation tools such as INSYCN for Files and INSYNC for DB2 tables, IBM load utilities for data synchronisation.

- ADE Workbench and SCLM for code management and maintenance.

- Experience in handling the production releases and pre and post production support activities.

- Knowledge of service now, work request, release ticket and change ticket.

- Production support experience and issue fixing, understanding of SLA.

- Good to have experience on Offering system (offering configuration, state approval, viewing), Rules Maintenance system.

- Working experience in advanced tables, AFP/PDF output creation.

Responsibilities :


- Application Development : Design, code, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies.

- System Integration : Work on integrating mainframe systems with other platforms and technologies as needed.

- Performance Tuning : Optimize application performance and ensure efficient use of resources.

- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues related to mainframe applications and systems.

- Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation for application design, development, and maintenance processes.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.

- Quality Assurance : Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software deliverables.

- Support : Provide support for production systems, including incident management, problem resolution, and implementing system updates.

Required Qualifications :

- Experience : (X) years of experience as a Mainframe Developer with a strong understanding of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe technologies.

- Technical Skills : Proficiency in mainframe programming languages (e.g., COBOL), job control languages (e.g., JCL), and database management systems (e.g., DB2).

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Application Developer) are a plus.

- Tools and Technologies : Familiarity with modern development tools and methodologies (e.g., version control systems, Agile/Scrum) is a plus.

- Experience with Modernization : Experience in mainframe modernization and integration with modern technologies is advantageous.
