Kshema is revolutionizing agricultural insurance by harnessing the power of Public Cloud, GIS, Remote sensing and cutting-edge AI-based algorithms to assess, model and price insurance risks for farmers effectively.

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day support and maintenance of critical business applications, leveraging strong technical expertise, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • In-Depth Issue Investigation: Analyze logs, database queries, API calls, and system performance to diagnose complex problems.
  • Bug Identification & Workarounds: Identify defects in applications and suggest more effective workarounds.
  • Data Fixes & Configuration Changes: Implement minor data corrections and system configuration updates.
  • Integration & API Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues between various applications.
  • Coordination with L3 & Vendors: Escalate complex issues to the L3 team or external vendors with comprehensive documentation.
  • Proactive Monitoring & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Identify patterns in recurring incidents and suggest improvements.
  • Release & Patch Deployment Support: Assist in testing and deployment of patches and minor upgrades.
  • Monitoring & Alerts: Monitor application dashboards, detect failures, and escalate critical alerts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in application support or a related IT role.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), SQL tools and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
