We're seeking a future team member for the role of Application Support Manager to join our team. The Application Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day support and maintenance of critical business applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of support engineers. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Lead and manage a team of application support engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

·        Oversee the day-to-day operations of the application support function, including incident management, problem resolution, and change management.

·        Monitor application performance, identify and troubleshoot issues proactively, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

·        Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve application bugs and performance issues.

·        Manage relationships with vendors and third-party support providers.

·        Develop and implement service level agreements (SLAs) for application support.

·        Prepare and present regular reports on application performance and support activities.

·        Participate in the evaluation and selection of new applications and technologies.

·        Ensure compliance with all relevant security and regulatory requirements.

·        Continuously improve application support processes and procedures.

·        Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in application support.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·        5+ years of experience in application support or a related IT role.

·        3+ years of experience managing a team of IT professionals.

·        Strong understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

·        Excellent knowledge of common application architectures and technologies (e.g., databases, servers, cloud platforms).

·        Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), SQL tools and troubleshooting tools.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team
