Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Oversee all technical operations ensuring compliance with national & international standards. Review, develop, and validate analytical methods and SOPs. Supervise staff, allocate responsibilities, and ensure timely reporting of analyses. Maintain and implement quality system procedures and documentation. Identify, control, and correct non-conformities; implement preventive actions. Conduct and verify calibration of instruments and equipment. Monitor instrument performance, efficiency, and laboratory workflow. Respond to client technical queries and coordinate on-site activities. Prepare monthly requirements of chemicals, consumables, and technical specifications. Authorized to review, approve, sign, and release analytical reports and results. Qualification & Experience B.Sc/M.Sc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or relevant field. Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in Ambient Air, Source Emissions, Soil, Water, and Wastewater analysis using GC, AAS, UV-VIS, and minor instruments. Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality management systems preferred. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to supervise and train laboratory personnel. Familiarity with calibration, QA/QC procedures, and instrument handling. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Requirements Vendor Sourcing & Evaluation Identify and evaluate suppliers of lab equipment and consumables Conduct market research to stay updated on new technologies and pricing trends Perform site visits and audits to assess supplier capabilities Procurement Management Create and manage purchase orders for lab instruments, chemicals, and accessories Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and warranty terms Ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements Coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments Inventory Coordination Monitor stock levels and forecast procurement needs Collaborate with lab managers to understand equipment usage and future requirements Supplier Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with key vendors Resolve disputes and ensure service-level agreements are met
