About the Role: As a Quality Inspector , you will be responsible for conducting inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure the products meet required standards and customer specifications. You’ll use precision measuring instruments, identify process issues, support root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement programs within the company. Basic Requirements: Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 1 year in a quality control/inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering company. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in using measurement tools like Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Surface Roughness Testers Basic understanding of ISO 9001 requirements Exposure to SPC, 5 Whys analysis, CAPA, and defect reporting preferred Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products . Perform dimensional checks and material testing as per quality plans. Use measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, Micrometers, and Surface Roughness Testers . Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to detect and address quality issues and defects. Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to track process variations. Coordinate with production teams to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions. Investigate root causes of defects using 5 Whys methodology . Develop and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) . Maintain proper documentation of inspections, defects, and reports. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer-specific requirements. Maintain and update work instructions and inspection records. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma projects .
