Esri India also offers several SaaS and PaaS solutions on Cloud. For commercial market, Esri India has launched ArcGIS Business Analyst for India. This solution is focused on commercial markets including retail, BFSI, manufacturing organizations. ArcGIS Business Analyst helps you make smarter decisions for market planning, site selection, and customer segmentation by combining demographic, business, lifestyle, spending, and census data with map-based analytics.


Role Overview


You will be responsible for ArcGIS Business Analyst product data design, creation, testing, packaging and release. This is a great opportunity to contribute to Esri India’s initiatives to make content more accessible and mission ready. In this role, you’ll help build our evolving data strategy and shape the design of our next-generation data content for ArcGIS products and services. The opportunity requires the candidate to have a strong understanding of applications of Location Intelligence and analytics in various domains and key spatial and non-spatial datasets required. You will work with Esri’s global team to strengthen the overall commercial and content offerings in India.


Job roles and responsibilities:


  • Work with Technology and Content team for creating a Vision and Strategy for Spatial and Non-spatial data required for focused segments of commercial market.
  • Take ownership of Business Analyst and other content product enhancement and release for India.
  • Collaborate with Global product teams for successful product release for India.
  • Design quality assurance procedures and automated tests to ensure quality of product deliverables.
  • Apply creative data analytical approaches to identify data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
  • Coordinate across teams working with data to identify process gaps and continually improve operational efficiency of data pipelines.
  • Serve as a data subject matter expert and point of contact to other Esri India internal teams; create customer-facing blogs and technical resources.
  • Design, build, and deploy data reporting solutions (such as reports, dashboards, visualizations) that provide insight to decision makers.
  • Assist development teams with testing new software capabilities and improvements prior to public release.
  • Support and interact with existing customers (internal and external) to improve the value, relevance, and applicability of data content to existing and future ArcGIS users.
  • Engage with product management to address customer needs and plan new data offerings for the ArcGIS business solutions.
  • Follow the evolution of analytics and data technology to maintain best practices and domain knowledge with fast-evolving technologies.


Desired skillset:


  • Hands-on experience working with ArcGIS Desktop or Pro.
  • Ability to compose complex SQL queries and comfortable using at least one other scripting language such as Python or R.
  • Understanding of data management best practices; experience or exposure to cloud data tools (AWS, Azure) and working with large datasets at scale.
  • Ability to visualise the new data needs for various use cases for industry segments
  • Self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks working within product release deadlines.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills; experienced in communicating complex business workflows to non-technical audiences.


Non-negotiable skills:


  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience; knowledge of data structures, relational databases, visualization, and location analytics.


Good to have skills:


  • Understanding of Business Intelligence and Analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlikview
  • Experience on ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and Business Analyst
