PTW , As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, overseeing the development of gaming projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality games on time. Responsibilities:Team Leadership:Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growthSet clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluationsFoster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and excellenceProject Management:Oversee the development lifecycle of gaming projects, from concept to release, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraintsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and QA, to align project goals and drive efficient development processesIdentify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure effective communication of project status and updates to stakeholdersTechnical Expertise:Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Unreal Engine and its tools, frameworks, and best practicesProvide technical guidance and support to the development team, assisting with complex problem-solving, code reviews, and optimizationStay updated with the latest trends and advancements in game development, Unreal Engine features, and industry best practicesProcess Improvement:Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements within the development pipelineDrive the implementation of best practices, coding standards, and tools to optimize development workflowsContinuously evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and game performanceCollaboration and Communication:Foster effective collaboration and communication across teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives, priorities, and dependenciesAct as a liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders, including product managers, artists, and designers, to facilitate smooth project executionCommunicate technical concepts and requirements clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Proven experience of 8+ years in game development, with a focus on Unreal EnginePrevious experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing a team of engineersStrong understanding of software development principles, agile methodologies, and project management practicesProficiency in C++ programming language and scripting languages commonly used in game developmentExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issuesStrong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsPassion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry

Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working on successful game titles released on multiple platformsFamiliarity with other game engines, such as Unity, and ability to adapt to different technologiesKnowledge of multiplayer/networking concepts and implementation in game developmentExperience with performance profiling and optimization techniques for games
