We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager in Market Operations to join our dynamic team at India's First Institutionally Promoted Power Exchange Authority, based in Mumbai.


Position Overview:

As an Assistant Manager in Market Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing operational processes, power trading procedures, and coordination with regulatory bodies within the power exchange market.

The ideal candidate brings 0-5+ years of experience in power market trading, transmission, grid management, and SLDC, RLDC, and NLDC functions. You should excel in subscription fee management, collection, reconciliations , and supervisory expertise with a deep understanding of exchange operations and regulatory frameworks . Experience with electricity traders (PTC,TPTCL,Kreate Energy, or similar) is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, managerial, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Candidates with additional expertise in Power BI, Python, and advanced MS Excel are highly preferred. Job Location: Corporate Office, Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai

Salary: ₹4.50 LPA to ₹7.00 LPA with Perks & Benefits | Vacancy: 1 Full-Time Permanent Position

Work Days: Monday-Friday 5 Days Week |Time 9.30 am-6.30 pm

Notice Period: Immediate/Early Joiner within a Month


Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute operational systems, processes, and infrastructure of a power market exchange, identifying opportunities for improvement or revision.

Coordinate within departments to resolve issues such as cash limits, enablement/disablement, and curtailment.

Reconcile statements and coordinate with regulatory bodies (CERC, RLDC, NLDC, SLDC).

Identify process defects and collaborate with the IT team for rectification.

Conduct UAT of trading system functionality, reports, margin, new product, matching engine, obligation generation, due book for pay-in and pay-out, order entry, order cancellation, and session schedule.

Preparation of Audit Reports and Deviation reports.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Power/Power System/Mechanical) or ME/MTech /MBA in Power Management/Power System.

Min 0-5+ years' experience in Power Exchange Market Operations, including of supervisory expertise. Freshers can also apply with the above Educational background only

Comprehensive understanding of exchange operations rules and procedures, particularly in the power exchange market.

Proficiency in data management, data mining, data modeling, data analysis, and advanced MS Excel (macros & VBA).

Experience with programming languages (Python,R,SQL)& data visualization tools (Power BI).

Thorough knowledge of power market trading, regulatory frameworks, and power scheduling functions.

Strong communication, collaboration, and team management skills.

Ability to work effectively independently or in a team under pressure, demonstrating strong initiative in operations.
