Key Accountabilities:

Increase NPD Revenue:

Lead new product development (NPD) to boost revenue by aligning engineering efforts with market needs, optimizing production, and ensuring high-quality, timely product delivery in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.Increase EBIT:

Improve profitability by reducing costs, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving cost-saving measures across production and quality processes, while making strategic investments in technology and automation to support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Oversight:Lead and manage the Engineering and Quality teams with a strong focus on collaboration and performance.Oversee capital purchases and establish production setups from scratch to mass production for all New Product Developments (NPD).Foundry and Manufacturing Expertise:Utilize deep knowledge in foundry processes including mold design, casting manufacturing, machining, and assembly.Drive design initiatives with thorough expertise in DFMEA, DFM, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, and process capabilities.Customer and Product Development:Serve as the technical front-end in customer interactions, providing support for product development, technical discussions, and addressing all quality requirements.Build and maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate closely with marketing to align technical developments with business objectives.Quality and Continuous Improvement:Take ownership of internal and customer quality, working to reduce rejections and improve PPM levels.Lead efforts in standardizing packing and ensuring total ownership of product quality.Collaborate with the manufacturing team on OEE, cycle time, and yield improvement projects.Operational Excellence:Spearhead plant layout improvements, material handling, safety initiatives, and 5S implementation.Introduce low-cost automation and special-purpose machines to enhance productivity.Develop and maintain estimation standards, from RFQ through to mass production.Financial Performance:Work towards continuous improvement in EBITA by optimizing productivity, reducing tool costs, and driving cost-efficiency in operations.
