Job Description – Automation Test Engineer (Playwright + TypeScript)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript. The ideal candidate should have worked on Agile-based projects, preferably in the E-commerce domain, and be proficient in automation frameworks, version control tools, and end-to-end testing processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, client engagement, flexibility in working hours, and the ability to take ownership by providing proactive suggestions and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Execute and analyze automation test scripts, integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with clients and provide suggestions for improving product quality and processes.
  • Perform regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for web and e-commerce platforms.
  • Ensure proper test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Take self-initiative in identifying gaps, driving test strategies, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub or other version control systems.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Domain knowledge in E-commerce applications.
  • Experience with test reporting tools and CI/CD integrations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in flexible shifts and handle client interactions.
  • Self-driven with a problem-solving mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹50,000.00 per month
