Job Summary:
The HR Manager for Learning and Development (L&D) will focus on the design, implementation, and management of programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and professional growth of employees. This role will also support other HR functions, such as employee engagement, performance management, and compliance with regulations. The position will contribute to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development at Alliance University, while also providing data analysis and reporting for rankings and accreditations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Learning and Development Initiatives:
Design and implement training and development programs for faculty and staff, ensuring alignment with university objectives.
Assess learning needs by collaborating with department heads and analyzing performance metrics.
Schedule, coordinate, and track attendance for internal and external training sessions.
Manage vendor relationships for external training programs and professional development initiatives.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance improvements.
Employee Onboarding and Continuous Learning:
Lead the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are well-integrated into the organization and receive essential training.
Develop and manage learning pathways for new hires and existing employees, promoting continuous skill development.
Maintain a robust learning management system (LMS) to ensure seamless access to training resources.
Data Collection and Reporting for Rankings & Accreditations:
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to employee development, participation in training programs, and skill enhancements.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to gather accurate data for rankings and accreditations.
Generate and manage detailed reports on L&D initiatives, performance, and employee growth metrics.
Performance Management & Employee Engagement:
Support performance management processes by ensuring training and development plans are aligned with individual employee goals.
Participate in employee engagement initiatives and support activities aimed at enhancing workplace culture.
Work with leadership to develop programs that address employee feedback from engagement surveys and performance reviews.
HR Data Analysis and Compliance:
Analyze and prepare data for internal audits, rankings, and accreditations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies, especially related to training and development programs.
Maintain up-to-date records of employee training, certifications, and development milestones.
HR Documentation and Record Maintenance:
Prepare L&D-related documents, including training schedules, feedback forms, and development plans.
Maintain employee records and track progress on training and development activities, ensuring confidentiality.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date data for audits and evaluations.
Collaborative Projects & Initiatives:
Collaborate with department heads and faculty on university-wide initiatives aimed at faculty development and improving teaching methodologies.
Support HR-related projects, especially those related to the development and retention of high-performing employees.
Exit Process and Learning Retention:
Ensure that the exit process includes capturing feedback on training programs and identifying any gaps in learning.
Work to retain valuable knowledge within the organization through initiatives like mentorship programs and documentation of best practices.
Employee Support and Development:
Address employee queries related to training, development, and professional growth opportunities.
Facilitate career development programs, providing guidance on opportunities for skill enhancement.
Other Key HR Responsibilities:
Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports as needed, including HR dashboards and summaries of training outcomes.
Maintain minutes of meetings and records related to L&D, ensuring organized documentation.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Advance excel is a must.
Understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines.
Quick learner with a positive attitude
Detail-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
