Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Specification Executives & Manager with a strong technical background in Data Center Infrastructure, HVAC Hardware, or IT Infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in specification management, technical documentation, and solution selling within the relevant industry sectors. This role will require strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the Board of Directors (BOD), Sales Heads, and other key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing technical specifications for our products and solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. As a Specification Manager, you will work cross-functionally with the sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure the technical integrity of proposed solutions, and provide subject matter expertise for strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specification Management: Develop and review technical specifications for data centers, HVAC hardware, and IT infrastructure projects in alignment with customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
• Solution Development: Work with engineering, sales, and project management teams to develop comprehensive, innovative, and technically sound solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Collaborate with sales teams and directly engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and drive specification alignment between project teams and clients.
• Technical Documentation: Oversee the preparation of high-quality, accurate, and detailed technical documents including specification sheets, proposal documents, and compliance reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly liaise with senior management (BOD, Sales Head) to report on project progress, specification status, and any challenges encountered during the specification process.
• Product Knowledge & Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies within the data center, HVAC, and IT infrastructure domains. Provide technical leadership to the team.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all specifications are thoroughly tested and validated to meet the technical, regulatory, and performance standards required for the project or product.
• Training & Development: Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to upskill sales teams and other internal departments on specification standards, product offerings, and new developments.
• Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Act as the point of contact for any technical queries and specification-related matters during pre-sales and post-sales phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 6-8 years of experience in a technical role with expertise in specification management, ideally in data centers, HVAC hardware, or IT infrastructure sectors.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, etc.) will be a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of data center operations, HVAC systems, and IT infrastructure solutions with the ability to translate complex technical details into actionable, clear specifications.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in industry tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or relevant simulation software) and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ASHRAE, ISO standards, and local guidelines for data center and HVAC infrastructure projects.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues early in the specification process and offer solutions.
• Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale technical projects, ensuring timelines and milestones are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and thoroughness when preparing technical specifications and reviewing project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Data Centers: In-depth understanding of the design, construction, and operation of data centers, including power, cooling, security, and networking systems.
• HVAC Systems Expertise: Knowledge of HVAC design, installation, and maintenance, particularly for mission-critical applications like data centers.
• IT Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, racks, storage systems, and network solutions.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
