About the Role:

As a Technical Architect at Kellton, you will be a key driver in defining the technical strategy and

architecture of our projects that rely on JavaScript technologies. Collaborating closely with

cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, you will be

responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our JavaScript

applications.


Ideally, you have 10+ years of experience and at least 3+ years in a role doing the

following:

What you will do:

● Developing web services. From taking others' ideas, building and deploying

an MVP, and managing feedback and feature changes.

● Led a 5 to 15-member team of Software Engineers.

● Experience handling project stakeholders and being able to engage with CxO

level.

● Helping in the estimation of projects.

● Solid experience with technologies like Node JS (Express JS / Nest

JS/Serverless framework), React JS - design and development of high-volume,

high-performance, high-availability, service-oriented applications using

proven Node JS frameworks & and technologies.

● Hands-on knowledge of Architecture documents, HLD/LLD, ER diagrams, etc.

● Demonstrate ownership of software architecture and design including

deployment.

● Strong experience in writing unit test cases in Mocha / Jest /Jasmine.

● Identify and develop reusable framework component

● Creating but also working with 3rd party API integrations. Commonly REST.

GraphQL experience is also nice to have.

● Strong experience in designing and developing microservices.

● Strong debugging skills

● Strong experience with using SQL and No-SQL databases.

● Experience with a queue system like RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS, SNS or using

Redis or any other in-memory cache/database for that job.

● Expertise in Cloud hosting solutions. AWS, GCP, or Azure.

● Strong system design patterns and containerized-based applications

knowledge.

● Know-how for building scalable and highly available distributed systems.

● Understanding of the existing architecture, and proposing/building a smooth

transition into the new architecture.

● Superior communication skills (both verbal and written) that both existing

and future clients will benefit from.

● Knowledge of one or more Node JS ORM like Sequelize / TypeORM /

Mongoose.

● Knowledge of one or more applications and infra-monitoring tools like

Cloudwatch, Newrelic, Instana, Graylog, ELK etc.

● Have a strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms

like JWT, Cognito, SSO, ADFS, LDAP, Firebase, etc.

● Experience in handling strong technical and non-technical clients.

● Experience in containerization, and orchestration using Dockers, Kubernetes, ECS,

EKS etc

● Should have knowledge of CI/CD tools like - Jenkins / AWS CICD / Bitbucket

CICD / Github Hooks / Circle CI / Serverless / Jenkins.

● Knowledge of at least 1 CDN provider like Akamai / Cloudfront / Cloudflare

etc.

● Experience with ElasticSearch, Redis.

● Experience in defining Schema, Indexing, Stored Functions / Triggers / Views.

● Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB.

● Knowledge about vertical and horizontal scaling of the application.

Nice-to-Haves:

● Experience with domains like Insurance, FinTech, Healthcare, E-commerce,

Retail, IoT or the QSR industry.

● Willing to travel to client locations domestically and internationally (if required).

● Experience working with Indian/US/UK clients.

● Desire to be in a fast-moving consulting environment and handling

multi-country, multi-language, multi-currency, multi-brands kind of

systems.

● Knowledge of Data migration services and approaches to migrate the data.

● Have an idea of the Microservice architecture.

● Knowledge of top 10 vulnerabilities, code scan tool, security audit, etc.

● Experience with performance improvement like identifying the area of

improvements and providing the solutions, load testing, etc.

● Experience with Jobs, Schedulers, Pub sub mechanism, Storage, Gateway,

load balancer, etc.

● Knowledge about vertical and horizontal scaling of the application.

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable

application.

● Experience with code review, Static code analysis tools like SonarQube,

Linter etc. Optimal code quality, with implementation of best practices


Who you are:


10+ years of experience and at least 3+ years at an Architect level. Having a Bachelor in Engineering
