Job Summary:
The Claim Executive is responsible for processing, reviewing, and settling insurance claims efficiently and in a timely manner. This role ensures all claims are evaluated accurately, fairly, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, register, and process incoming claims (health, motor, life, general, etc., depending on company sector).
Verify claim documents and ensure completeness.
Coordinate with internal teams, surveyors, and external stakeholders for claim assessment.
Analyze claims data, assess liability, and determine the claim amount.
Communicate with policyholders or clients to gather information or provide claim updates.
Maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
Escalate complex or fraudulent claims to senior management or investigators.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
Support audits and internal reviews related to claims processing.
Participate in training sessions and stay updated with industry trends and changes.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple claims and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of insurance policies, claim processes, and regulatory norms.
Proficiency in MS Office and claim management software (e.g., TPA/CRM tools).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in insurance claims processing (entry-level roles may not require prior experience).
Certifications in insurance (e.g., Licentiate, Associateship from III or equivalent) are a plus.
