MS team administrator SME will be part of a wider Device & Collaboration Support team who are realizing our vision to make BT a digital, lean-agile company, and you will be delivering our public and internal commitments.
Responsibilities :
Deployment & Management:
• Oversee the implementation of Microsoft Teams across the company.
• Manage team creation and associated settings, including membership.
• Configure policies for team upgrades, client settings, and external federation.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Integrate Teams with other Office 365 services to enhance collaboration.
• Manage messaging and meeting policies for effective communication.
• Configure and manage conference bridges for Teams meetings.
Voice & Video:
• Manage calling policies and phone number inventory for user assignment.
• Troubleshoot user call quality issues with advanced tools.
• Monitor and maintain call quality and reliability using the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD).
Security & Administration:
• Set up security policies for Teams usage within the organization.
• Manage app publishing within the Teams admin center.
• Manage calendar and meeting settings, including configurations and bridges.
• Recover deleted content within Teams environments.
• Troubleshoot complex Teams functionality issues for the entire tenant.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Continuously develop skills by adopting lean-agile methodologies.
Skills :
Team Services & Management:
• Possess in-depth knowledge of managing Teams within Microsoft 365, encompassing all functionalities.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 Group creation and management.
• Configure and manage all Teams settings, policies, and upgrades.
• Recover deleted data and chat history for users.
Voice & Calling Management:
• Manage voice features within Teams, including calling policies and phone number assignment.
• Utilize advanced tools to troubleshoot user call quality issues.
• Monitor and maintain call quality & reliability using the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), identifying users experiencing poor call quality.
• Generate, update, and manage CQD reports.
Device Administration & Troubleshooting:
• Manage Teams-certified devices, ensuring proper configuration and policy assignment.
• Access user profiles and troubleshoot call quality, meeting device issues, and dropped calls using advanced tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex tenant-wide Teams functionality issues using CQD data.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate effectively with team members regarding business needs, policies, user profiles, and critical incidents.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating information and influencing decisions through storytelling
Experience :
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Role experience holder must be 3-5 years in support small to large scale MS team.
• Experience of direct routing and SBCs
• Utilize tools like Power Platform and Graph APIs to automate tasks and generate reports for Teams data.
• Possess proficiency in PowerShell and PowerApps to develop custom solutions and conduct testing within Teams.
• Integrate third-party applications seamlessly into the Teams environment.
• Manage user authentication methods for secure access to Teams functionalities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Microsoft licensing options to ensure optimal Teams deployment within budget constraints.
• Relevant certifications include office 365 Teams administrator online / on-premises and M365.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with Teams and M365.
