Godrej Agrovet : Animal Feed Business

feed business which accounts majorly of GAVL’s revenues. This is a B2C business in cattle feed and poultry feed largely. As a national player, the business has leading market share at the national level and competes with regional players. Manufacturing footprint is distributed across the country.

About the role

Responsible for Sourcing of Grains and other Agri Commodities for multiple plants in GAVL Animal

Feed Business. Conduct Research and Analysis on domestic and international markets for making

effective buying decisions

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate enterprising sourcing acumen to reduce Total Cost of Ownership on consistent basis- Formulate long and short term procurement strategies by identifying gaps in Demand and Supply of commodities- Conduct detailed on-field crop surveys by travelling to source/producing markets and direct farmer interactions- Contribute to business success by meeting On Time Delivery targets of RM and Ensure continuity of operations at all times- Collaborate and partner for Cross Functional Stakeholder Management to lead, influence and facilitate effective execution of sourcing strategies- Continuously scan the markets for identification and introduction of new Raw materials. Must respect Organizational value systems and ensure compliances without requiring formal supervision to meet all control and reporting objectives- Leverage GODREJ strengths in expanding a competitive vendor base and establish long term relationships- Driving Supplier Performance Management Program to gain Strategic Alignments

Who are we looking for?

Education:

Post graduate with prior relevant experience of min 4 to 5 years in similar industries

(Management Education preferable)

Experience:

- Expertise in Analysis, market intelligence, strategic sourcing and supplier performance- management- Knowledge of business applications like SAP MM, E-Auction platforms, Mobile Apps etc would be desirable- Willing to travel extensively across geographies

Skills:

- Postgraduate with prior relevant experience of min 4 to 5 years in similar industries (Management Education preferable)- Expertise in Analysis, market intelligence, strategic sourcing and supplier performance management.- Knowledge of business applications like SAP MM, E-Auction platforms, Mobile Apps etc would be desirable- Willing to travel extensively across geographies
